Welcome to Peaks Island, Maine!

Peaks Island is a residential and summer vacation community just outside of Portland, Maine. This island is situated in Casco Bay, and holds everything from thick forest, to sandy beaches, to stunning rocky tide pools. 

Peaks is a peaceful community with so much character. The island has all the amenities of the city and is only a 15 minute ferry ride from the docks of Portland.

Getting Around

Casco Bay Lines offers a ferry that will take you between Peaks and Portland. The Ferry runs nearly every hour year round, take your car across, or park in Portland and travel as a ferry passenger.

Once you're on island, you can drive your own car, call a taxi, rent a golf cart, bike, or just walk!

If you miss the ferry, no worries, passenger water taxis run 24/7.

Eat!

Peaks Island offers many great restaurants and place for a quick bite. Some, like the famous Cockeyed Gull and Hannigan's Island Market, are open year round!

With just a 15-minute ride on the ferry, you'll find yourself back in Portland. Portland is renowned for it's fantastic restaurants.

Explore

Peaks Island is overflowing with beautiful scenery, gorgeous antique homes and ocean views! Take a stroll down one of the beaches or climb along the rocky shores. Venture into the forest, or cruise along in your golf cart and admire the oceanfront homes.

Travel to the backshore of the island to explore Battery Steele, a USA military fortification. Completed in 1942 during World War II, it's located on 14 acres of the island.

Charter a fishing boat, catch a sunset dinner cruise, rent a sea kayak or learn something new at one of the excellent museums or art galleries the area has to offer.

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful contemporary cabin in the heart of Peaks Island.

This family-friendly 1980s contemporary cabin is updated, comfortable and spacious. Setback from the road, you'll have privacy to relax and enjoy your time in the yard and on the screened porch. Inside the home, you'll find a stunning full kitchen, comfortable living room with plenty of seating, and two large bedrooms. While this home is not as historic as many on the island, it still has plenty of charm and character.

Stargaze from the primary bedroom as you look up through the skylight just above the bed. The second bedroom holds two twin beds and a desk, perfect for those looking for a remote work getaway.

The home is stocked with hotel-quality amenities, including a smart TV, fast WIFI, shampoo/soap, washer and dryer, and much more! This property has two floors, with both bedrooms on the second floor.
